The cholera epidemic on Darwin Mountain has claimed three people in a space of three days, an official confirmed.
Sister Anna Chinyemba confirmed death
Sister Chinyemba said the first victim died on Sunday, while the other two were yesterday morning and evening in that line.
She said that the affected people were miners miners from the Mukaradzi mine, 25 kilometers from Mount Darwin.
"We believe that the epidemic could have caused poor sanitation, since most of the mining activities that take place in that area are illegal," said Chinyemba's sister for the press.
"The area is flooded by commodity miners and there is an illegal sales facility. The area has no security sources of water. Most affected people are men."
The World Health Organization announced yesterday that it would strengthen its presence in the African wake-up camp on Colera Mountain.
