Gerald Mayer becomes head of Amag since March 2019
RANSHOFEN. Now it's official. As the news was announced exclusively yesterday, Gerald Mayer, 47, will become Amag's director.

He succeeded Helmut Wieser (65) as CEO on March 1, 2019. This was announced by the company after yesterday's meeting of the Supervisory Board.
By December 31, 2022, the Supervisory Board extended the contract of Chief Technical Officer Helmut Kaufmann (55). Mayer, who has been the Financial Reporting Director since 2007, has assumed this function in addition to his Executive Director function until a Financial Director is appointed.
The Supervisory Board also decided to immediately launch the search process to fill the sales management board to best support the growth trend that it started, according to the statement. Therefore, the company increases the highest level of management from the previous three to four people.

B & C Privatstiftung, which has a majority stake in Amag, Lenzing AG and Semperit, has a new member of the Executive Board. Norbert Zimmermann, Chief Shareholder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Berndorf AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield Equipment, joined the board. Zimmermann takes over the position of Stefan Fid, who intervened in the autumn of 2017, following the death of George Bauten's Executive Board member.
