According to the statistics of the Ministry of Motor Insurance of Latvia (LTAB), the most common traffic accidents (CSNg) are caused by drivers aged between 26 and 35, ranging between 16 and 20 years.
"LTAB has compiled CSA statistics for uninsured vehicles for the period from October last year to October this year. Analyzing the data, it can be concluded that 81 CSNg (32.4%) caused 26-35 years, but 54 drivers of the accident from 18 to 25 years (21.6%). At least -16 CSNg was caused by drivers aged 56-65 years (6.4%), "said the insurance office.
In the category of vehicles most commonly causing CSA without valid OCTA, the highest risk group is vehicles from 16 to 20 years – 87 accidents (30.7%) and cars 11 – 15 years – 80 CSNg (28.2%). LTAB statistics show that there are 13 CSNg (4.6%) in young (up to 5 years) drivers without a valid OCTA.
"For its part, among the uninsured brands of the vehicle is dominated by the BMW car brand. In addition to the valid OCTA, 42 accidents caused by such brands, in the meantime with the VW-40, but Audi Brand – 30 CSNg. It is important to note that cars of these brands in Latvia are also the most prominent, so the percentage of CSNg caused by them is the highest percentage, "says LTAB.
