Alessandro de Marchi had to stop the tour after falling on the ninth stage.
The start of the ninth phase of the Tour de France was full speed. There were also fearsome situations, and after 15 kilometers, Alessandro De Marchi CCC collapsed badly.
A strong rider was lying on the ground with blood on his face and great pain until a medical team arrived. Then he entered the neck collar and was driven by car. It is currently uncertain how it goes with De Marchi, but he was aware.
Expert commentator TV 2, Johan Kaggestad, was among those who responded to the ugly demolition.
– It's so bad to see such a brilliant warrior. It's the first really ugly thing we've seen so far in the Tour de France, he commented on the way.
CCC writes on Twitter that De Marchi is in hospital and will later update.
The stage is in progress, and Edvald Boasson Hagen sits on a weekly break.
