Every third user does not know how to protect his or her privacy online




The amount of data that users share on the Internet is on the rise, as today, as many as nine out of ten (89.3%) people visit the Web several times a day. In addition, some agreed with the view that attempts to maintain their privacy on the Internet were condemned to failure. In a recent survey, Kaspersky Lab found that every third (32.3%) user does not know how to fully protect online privacy.

The feeling of helplessness in coping with digital privacy problems, also called fatigue in privacy, often leads to excessive sharing on social networks and ignoring security risks. According to a recent study by Kaspersky Lab, nearly one fifth (17%) on the Internet has noticed their private information or information about their family members, which should not be public information. This percentage is increasing in almost a quarter (22.3%) when it comes to children under the age of 18.

Unsuccessful efforts to become less visible on the Internet lead to a situation called murder for reasons of privacy. It is a concept that refers to life under constant pressure and with a lasting feeling that third parties use your private information, and at the same time each resistance is meaningless. A third (32.2%) of respondents do not know how to fully protect their privacy on the Internet. In addition, every tenth (13%) has already lost interest in finding ways to further improve their privacy. Fifth (19%) does not endeavor to further protect their privacy when searching the Internet on their devices.
